CRESTLINE, Calif., July 24 (Inland Empire News Online) — A black bear pushed open the front door of the Crestline Village Water District office in the San Bernardino Mountains on Wednesday afternoon, wandered through the lobby and left without injuring anyone or damaging the building, according to district surveillance video and staff.

The video showed the bear entering the Crestline office around 12:15 p.m. and standing on its hind legs to open the door. Staff said the animal stayed in the front area for about two minutes before briefly moving into the main office.

Employees said no customers were inside at the time and no one was in danger. One employee said, “Thankfully, no one was in danger. There were no customers in there at the time, it was just us.”

The office manager said the bear left nose prints on the doors but caused no property damage. Staff watched it head back toward the woods after it left the office.
